I will continue the fight against an EU constitution and for a referendum on the EU Reform Treaty. I am against Britain joining the Euro. I back withdrawal from the EPP (European People's Party).

With EU enlargement, an increasing number of workers from member states have settled in London, stretching schools, hospitals and housing. We need proper planning and controls to manage the effect of future EU expansion.

As Financial Director of my own company, I know all about the regulations and directives that restrict London's business growth. Regulation must be reduced! I will preserve London's position as the world's financial capital, fighting proposals for tax harmonisation and more regulation.

All countries must properly account for EU taxpayers' money. As a Conservative MEP, I will closely scrutinise spending and demand greater transparency. I want one location for the European Parliament, ending the costly monthly move from Brussels to Strasbourg.

I will negotiate to get the best deal for London in Europe. We need cross-border co-operation to fight organised crime and terrorism and to work on a green agenda.
