EU funds prop up local government in Zimbabwe and Belarus

Conservative MEP Marina Yannakoudakis today condemned EU funding to local governments in totalitarian regimes including Zimbabwe and Belarus. The EU is currently providing €6.48 million (£5.2 million) to support 20 different development projects which benefit local authorities in repressed countries throughout the world.
